About
Blue Mash Golf Course is the Rockville area's premier public offering. This Arthur Hills design combines links-style, parkland, wooded, and water holes. With such an interesting variety, the course is enjoyable for golfers of all different tastes and skill levels. With no forced carries, it's even a manageable course for beginners and high handicappers, while more seasoned golfers will be challenged by the length from the back tees, the well protected elevated greens, and the plentiful strategically placed bunkers. Outstsnding
Loved it. Excellent layout, conditions, service. Definitely recommend.
Great condition, Great pace!
Really enjoyed playing at Blue Mash. The course is well maintained and the greens are in wonderful condition. We played on Saturday and were able to finish in a little over four hours. There were rangers on the course that helped us find balls and assisted us on a few holes. I play here regularly - pace of play is always great. I have already booked my spot for next weekend.
Thanks!
too expensive for what you get
This isn't a terrible golf course, but it's not worth what is being charged. The round took too long. Seemed short staffed
Thank you sir, and we are sorry you did not feel you got your money's worth on Saturday.. Please note that our pace logs show that the day you played only two groups the entire day took over 4 hours 20 minutes to finish, and they both teed off after 3 pm, and both of those groups finished their rounds in 4 hours 26 minutes. Every other group Saturday played in less than 4 hours and 20 minutes.
All the best,
4 hour round this weekend!
We played at Blue Mash this past weekend. The course was in great condition with a variety of different style holes. The pace of play was the most enjoyable feature. Love getting out to play a quick round of golf during my busy weekends.
Great Course and Staff
This is a great layout in near perfect condition. Staff was friendly. Ranger was super nice and kept play moving even though the course was packed. Food was great too. Enjoyed drinks on the patio after the round.
Thank you!
Tremendous track
Lots of holes that require you to make decisions. In great shape. Didn’t wait to hit a shot all day either. The opening stretch of par 4s is pretty brutal for most amateurs but I didn’t help myself by playing the back tees and duffing a pitch into a bunker. I loved it.
Thank you!
One of the best in the area!
I consider Blue Mash my home course even though I drive 45 mins to get here each time. I play this very often and is always in amazing condition.
The course, to the amenities to the club house are always great. Pace of play can be a little slower on weekend. If you are wanting to play your 18 on a weekend in 3.5hrs go get a membership at Chevy or Congressional.
If you want to play on an exceptional course at a fraction of the cost, be aware that other people too want to enjoy and as a result of its popularity you will be a little slower. It is more a compliment to how great the course is than a negative in my opinion.
Play it an see for yourselves and keep pace expectations lower than a private club!
Thank you!
worst pace around
so blue mash is a good course, but steer clear and weekends!! The pace here is always bad on weekends. Always. No Marshalls on the course, which is one thing at a cheap municipal course, but not when we're paying $100. Stick to weekdays and slower times.
Thank you sir - the day you played Sunday was Cart Path Only after heavy rains Saturday, and our top "Marshal" was on course the entire day managing pace. Though conditions were wet, we reviewed our pace logs and virtually all rounds Sunday were completed in around 4 hours 30 minutes or less. We do see one group finishing in 4:40 and one group finishing in 4 hours :45 minutes - we apologize if you were behind one of those groups. Please be assured we are absolutely committed to pace of play, to the extent that we removed two slow groups from the course the day you played,. We are training new "Marshals" ("Player Assistants") and will continue to improve our performance in this regard in the coming weekends, as pace is the number one priority for the entire management team at Blue Mash. Thank you for your feedback, and please feel free to contact us directly at jhills@bluemash.com, if we can be of further assistance. All the best!
Well worth it
Beautiful course. Challenging, but not punative. I would definitelyt play again.
Thank you!
Great conditions
Played the course over 4th of July weekend 2022. For a course that gets a ton of weekend play, conditions were great, especially the bunker/green complexes. Fairways were really good and warmup/practice areas were nice. Could use a few more water stations and the beverage carts weren't out until we were on the 16th hole but that's minor stuff. Love the layout and sight lines from mens back/blue tees. Good job Blue Mash!
Thank you sir!
Wonderful place for enjoying a golf
The course was the best I have ever enjoyed up to now.
Thank you - we are so glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you!
