Good course.
Reasonably well maintained. Some rough spots. Greens are slow Course layout and holes are good. Makes it interesting. Will play again if I get a chance
bouncing balls
Greens have gone south fast here. A late aeration of greens have left a terrible cross hatch pattern on every green along with several bad burn out or bare dirt patches. Rolling a good line is impossible due to dribbling effect from surface. More bouncing here than in average NBA game.
The front 9 can be challenging if you don't have distance because there is a lot of water between tee and green On some holes you have to be able to carry the ball well over 100 yards to avoid losing your ball in a swamp or pond This is difficult for me as a senior golfer even though I can hit it straight with consistency., The back 9 is much easier for me because the course does not penalize you if you as much for lacking distance. At typical score for me might be 95 (53 out and 42 in)
what the heck happened to greens???
several greens showed bad burn out spots and still recovering from aeration . Made for impossible line when putting, stuff would jump right or left from surface issues. Sucked
Great value
Noone on the course after the outing. 2 of us played in 3:04. Greensand tees are all punched.
Aerated greens and tee boxes
It was a bit bumpy but still one of my favorites, I love this gem and you will too!
Always above average
We make the hour trip once a year to play here. Always above average tee to green, and this year was no different. 80-85% all around. A lot of nice grass to hit from and the one bunker I was in was great. Almost holed out from left side bunker on 8.
Back to back par 5s to start, then 16 and 17 are your other par 5s. Front 9 more open. Back has short par4s with hills and swails . Par 3s on the back are legit in length from blue tees that play 6100+ yards. Like all golf, hit good shots and you can score. Greens were as slow as they always seem to be for us. In very nice shape, but historically on the slower then they look side.
We generally play on the hot deal and pay under $50, and will see Johnathons landing again next year.
Mr. Windy
wind really messed w/ me today. Caused numerous clubs changes for approach shots.
12th Hole
I played with Friends and drove the 12th hole from the blue tees. The course was in great shape, the greens were slow and it could have been that the course didn’t want to cut them to close.
Jonathan’s Landing
Good course. Well maintained. Green slopes are a little challenging. Pace was a little slow but Sunday morning on a beautiful day, so what are you going to do.
