Disappointed
Course is usually in good shape but it seems they have done No work cleaning up for the winter. Leaves everywhere. Lost balls in the fairway. Poor drainage throughout the course.
Backed up tee times
I had a 12:15 tee time but didn't start playing until 12:50. Seems like they over booked tee times. We only got to play 15 holes due to it getting dark.
Just ok
Decent track, back and forth holes fairly easy.
Nice par 3's good distances for average golfer. Course was aerified and we were not told at booking or at course. Greens were bad due to sand and holes.
Hopefully this place goes out of buisness
I've played here twice this year and have never been so excited to leave a golf course. After a terrible experience the first time I thought I would give it another chance since the course is not far from my house.
We paid $55 to play on Aerated greens, which everyone conveniently forgot to tell us before we paid. The food and the staff in the club house was terrible. Both times that I played here the "memebers" of this golf course have caused issues with non-members that were playing.
After another 5 hour round its safe to say, the best thing for this place would be to shutdown and let someone else take over. Its a shame that this centrally located golf course cannot offer more than grumpy staff and members, poor facilities, day old sandwhiches to paying customers.
A Shame to See a Course in This Condition
I was very...I should say, extremely disappointed in having traveled as far as I did(over an hour and 1/2) to arrive at a facility I could already tell from the parking lot was going to be less than expected.
The biggest issue, greens just recently aerated....in OCTOBER!!!! As a former golf course superintendent, I know better. The bent grass will need at minimal 14 days for germination...which would take you into November...then frosts, etc.
The rough appeared as if it hadn't been cut in quite a while....spent way too much time looking for shots that had missed the fairway by only a few yards.
Traps were lacking sand.
In a nutshell....a DUMP!
I got a $55.00 "Special" on GolfNow. No special here....I felt I wasted my money!!!
Nice Course
It was a fun course to play, not in as good of shape as I would have thought, but I'd definitely still go back.
poor conditions
This course charged alot of money for sub par conditions. We were never told that the greens were aerated. They were so bad they were almost unplayable. I'm not sure I would play there again. I would def ask questions before I paid over 50 dollars for a tee time there.
Not told about aeration
We booked a tee time on Golf Now. When we arrived at the course we found the course had been aerated two days prior. There was no mention of this on the web site. Very disappointed and will not return.
hidden treasure
I always wanted to play this course, but it always cost to much. Got a good deal through Last Minute Golfer.
Green weren't in the best of shape, but overall all i liked the course. Can't wait to play there again.
Closing soon and you can tell
Tight fairways. Shortish course. You can tell it was nice at one point but they are kinda letting it go. An employee told me they are selling the course so house can be built on the grounds. Makes sense that they would stop putting money into the course. Tee boxes and greens were beat up.
Bad experience
Considering no extreme temperatures and no long periods of rain, I found a lot of damage around the course due to having too much water. But the most annoying thing the the pace of play, extremely poor, no rangers, players standing around watching others play, having no clubs while waiting for others to finish hitting and bring the cart to them.Because of this I had to skip 2 holes, 15 minutes between shots is too long, besides a lot of players had their own carts.
sad
This course used to be a real jewel. In my opinion, there is a complete lack of effort regarding course conditions. The greens used to be the best in the area...now they look like mine fields. Tee boxes are not kept up. Still a great layout, as it used to be private. That is sadly all it has going for it. Lack of effort, for a course demanding almost $60 a round.
this course needs TLC
The course was what I expected. The tee boxes and greens needed some care. It appears no one fixes ball marks. Cart path maintenance is not a priority. This just furthers the rumors of the course's demise. Notwithstanding this , the course is a challenge and fun to play.
this course is bad
not worth playing .not worth playing. not worth playing.
terrible course conditions
If you ever want to see the effects of not repairing ball marks, these greens defiantly show it, all the par 3 tee boxes except 18, are almost completely dirt with large fill in of crab grass, as well as fringe. Many dead grass spots including areas on the greens and finding crater holes on the greens, not worth playing, there are better courses in the area
Nice, not excellent
The day we went, there was absolutely no one in the parking lot. We thought we had gone to the wrong place or booked the tee time on the wrong day. However, there was just absolutely no one playing that day (Tuesday morning) and we played in under 3 hours.
The course is nice, and you can see they have high quality grass and stuff. Some spots looked pristine, and others looked like it had had an awful lot of play. The greens rolled nice though.
I enjoyed the course just fine, although I wouldn't pay the regular price for it. I thought the golfnow price was about what it should have been charging.
Nice Course
It rained the night before and the course was held up pretty well. I'v only been golfing for 2 years now and this is one of the better courses I've played. I will definitely play there again.
Nice course layout.
The layout of this course is very nice. It has both right and left doglegs. The tee boxes and fairways were is very good condition. The ruff was thick but still playable. However, the greens were poor. They are very hard, do not hold a sand or lob web from 50 yards. Other than the condition of the greens this course is a descent challenge.
BWine Review
course is in bad shape and not well maintained. not worth the cost.
