Narrow hole that you can't even tell is a golf course if it wasn't for the tee boxes. Photo submitted by Sean8819622 on 07/24/2016

I guess the hole design was bad enough that you can't use clubs you have. So bad. Photo submitted by Sean8819622 on 07/24/2016

It's been better
Course was empty - for good reasons. Staff acts like you're not there; clubhouse seems boarded up; course itself could use some serious attention. Overall just could be so much better if they cared
Regreshing Experience
The staff was excellent. The corse in great shape. Met and played with two local residents. Wonderful day and an excellent, interesting course.
This course is challenging as always. Even with the change to hole number 14
This is a go play course. If you want to challenge yourself. Course of play is good, course looks great and is very well priced.
Best deal near the beltway
The course has improved a lot , the staff is very friendly. It's a demanding narrow course which requires use of almost all your clubs. Lose a lot of balls but the course is great fun.
Thank you for coming to play at Cross Creek. We are happy to hear you had a wonderful time. Hope to see you again soon.
Course is in great shape considering all of the snow and rain we have had
The course is in great shape considering all of the snow and rain we have had recently. As always, the staff is very friendly and usually accommodates tee times as requested.
Thank you for choosing Cross Creek to play your round of golf. We were so excited to be open. Hope you see you again soon.
Ball Hog
The course was in decent shape, a little soggy in some spots for not having rained in several days.
The course is very narrow and the out of bounds are mostly lined with sticker bushes ... so you could see plenty of balls just off the rough but no one can get to them unless you have a long ball retriever. The weather was in the 40's and the sun never made an appearance so pace of play wasn't an issue as there weren't that many golfers out there but $15 golf now rate was worth it.
Very tight, but you can score if you hit the fairway
i love it because it nice and tight. very good course to score on if you stay in the fairway
Cross Creek
Had not played the course since the ICC opened, and forced the Golf Club to alter one of the holes on the back 9, that runs along the highway, into a fifth Par 3. However, the hole is now a Par 4, and the course was in good condition and fun to play. The four of us finished the round in under 4 hours, and we agreed to come back soon.
Not enjoyable
Had a tee time at 11:40 am and there were no golf carts. Had to wait 25 mins. for a cart - never experienced that before. Play was extremely slow and there was no marshall. Staff was frustrated and it showed.
Slow pace of play
No ranger/Marshall. Had a group in front that needed coaching. When I approached them about the back up on the course they were creating (were two groups behind my group), they had nasty words with me. It took 3 hours to complete nine holes. Definitely needed a Marshall on a busy Saturday afternoon. Have played this course before under 4 hours. Tees need some work. Fairways, rough and greens were in very good shape.
hidden gem
Nice place only complaint is the bunkers need sand
Quirky Layout, Improving Conditions
Course conditions are improving. 14th hole is still a disaster. Might as well change 14 back to a par 3, since ICC has destroyed it as a par 4. Bunkers are still almost unplayable, but fairways and greens were not bad. Tee boxes still need work, but course is much better than it was last year, when we stopped playing it.
Course coming back to Life
Have played this course many times but stopped playing last year because in was in bad shape. New management has the course going in the right direction. Greens and fairways are in much better shape. Keep it up! This is a good layout.
Most underrate.
Greens were recently top-soiled,so,very slow.Fun to play. With new management, conditions should be improved.
Course needs work.
Course was somewhat improved from previous year but still has a long way to go to be a top venue. Tee boxes in particular were in rough shape. Greens were being aerated so no judgement could be passed.
great value
Course was getting aerated, but for $20 its cheaper than hitting balls at the range.
Course Condition
Would have been a good value if all 18 holes were available. They should inform you when making a tee time that 9 holes were closed for areating
Nice Course
I played here for the first time on the 14th. The staff was very friendly and overall the course was nice. The greens were a little rough though. Not that they were unplayable, but there were some bare spots and at times putting was a challenge. I was also disappointed with the sand in the traps. On one bunker shot I heard a sound unlike any I've ever heard out of a bunker. When the buzzing in my left hand stopped, there was a river rock about 3" I'm diameter sitting in my divot and I was glad to not be injured and not have a damaged club. Other than that, it was a great day. I'd definitely play it again.
The greens and tees need some work.
The fairways were in great shape. Most of the tees were pretty bare. In places the greens were rough. Mainly it seemed that previous players failed to repair ball marks. I spent time on every green fixing ball marks. That's not the course's fault, but players need to respect the course and not just walk away from a ball mark.
Finally, the sand traps were unplayable. Many were filled with water from the overnight thunderstorm. Those not doubling as a water hazard had most of the sand washed away, leaving rocky clay rather than fluffy sand. This could have been the result of the storm, but at the very least better trap drainage would help.
Ladies Tee Placement
One of my wife's favorite golf courses due to the generous advance tee placement for ladies. Very reachable GIR leads her to believe she belongs on the LPGA Tour. I had to deal with her showing off...with multiple birdies during this outing.
Thank you for coming to play at Cross Creek Golf Club. We really appreciate you taking the time to give us a great review.
We look forward to seeing you again.
