Ocean Resorts Golf Club
About
Located just six miles west of Ocean City, Md., Ocean Resorts Golf Club is a good option if you're looking for a round that is fun to play but still a good value. The course is known for being player friendly enough for any skill level but there are still several challenges in store with multiple sets of tees that range from 4,800 to 6,500 yards. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also several strategically placed bunkers you'll have to contend with. The layout rewards proper club selection and good strategy but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. A unique aspect of Ocean Resorts is that it's owned by the Wor-Wic Community College, which uses the golf course as a living laboratory for students in the green industry.

Running Late
I had a foursome tee off at 12:00. I did not realize we had to have the carts back in at 4:00. Unfortunately, we did not get to finish. We got 16 holes in. Can't beat it for the price.
Needs to be fixed up. Tee boxes greens etc. Would not recommend given price
Greens hadn’t been cut in 1 week+. Decent layout that has a lot of potential.
Needs TLC
I enjoy the course layout, but the playing conditions are poor. The fairway grass is very thin on most holes, to the point that finding a lie that is not partly on dirt is difficult. Some greens were fine, but others were very thin. The course also has drainage problems. Although we have had a lot of rain in the area, several greens were extremely wet. I play here occasionally because it is less expensive than most other courses in the area, but you get what you pay for.
Ocean Resorts
The t boxes all are not in good shape. Some have no grass at all.The fairways are bare in spots. The greens were bare and bumpy.Im sorry the course has not gotten more mature in its growth. The guys that I played with all felt the same thats why I decided to write this review. There's really no comparison to the other courses in the area.
Some good, some bad
Positives: scorecard has tips on playing each hole - never saw this on a scorecard before, and was impressed by the content and its usefulness. Greens in full sun were in excellent condition.
Negatives: shaded greens were in horrible condition; some expertise is needed on how to manage shaded greens. Carts are not allowed to go into parking lot for some reason; very annoying and not customer-friendly. Also, fairways were not In good condition. In our group, we had to make a rule that if u were in the fairway, you could reposition your ball to a spot with "normal" fairway grass.
Nice layout and great staff
Lou got me separated from a group of three and out quickly which was super helpful.
As a first-time experience I appreciated the framing for the course - plenty of trees, tall grasses and water.
The fairways and greens were in good shape for the most part - it’s clear the grounds keeping team is working to improve some rough spots.
A major effort to thin the trees on the back 9 could help keep the course from getting waterlogged. Heavy rains the previous night created some soft and slow spots.
AWFUL CANT DESCRIBE IT
This place is a joke over $80 in the afternoon. This place hasn’t been watered since sandy. They also have holes closed and don’t tell you
Surprised
Not having played any courses in the area, I was pleasantly surprised when we found such a nice course for a very reasonable price. A hidden gem!
