Too soon
Learned at the turn course was formerly private before becoming daily fee. Prior owners went bankrupt in June and it shows - mostly with the greens which were very ragged and mostly sanded. Pretty flat layout that takes little advantage of being on the Chesapeake - only 9 and 18 are within sight of the water. Couple of interesting holes, they'll need to get the course into shape to compete with several other top flight tracks in the area
Nice challenging round...Plays longer than you think!
Another great deal with 11 a.m. tee time. Course was in overall great shape. There are a few really nice holes and a couple PGA worthy Par 3's. The course plays longer at times than the score card shows and there are a couple par 5's that you can get there in two with a long tee shot. Only drawback is you'll experience swarms of black mosquito's on several holes but overall a very enjoyable experience.
Challenging Greens
Greens were well maintained and very fun to play. The golf course was extremely dry making the fairways and rough as hard as a rock. Great value for the price paid!!! No wait and friendly!
Nice course in a very beautiful area.
This course was in really good condition except for one pretty important area, the fairways. I played the course in early April so they will improve, but the condition was poor at best. Having said that the condition of the rest of the course was very nice. The greens were fairly fast and well kept. The staff was very friendly and the course sits in a very beautiful area.
Good track and in very good condition for March.
First time playing course so I feel it would be a little easier the second time-that being said I don't think the slope rating of 117 from the white tees is accurate-it plays much more difficult than that. I've played almost every course on the Eastern Shore and these small undulated greens are about the toughist I've played.
Some long fairways challenge the long ball hitter
Nice course. The greens need a lot of attentiion, a lot of dead grass and dirt, but they are rolled and puttable. This course can be played a lot faster than the 4 hours our foursome took, but was a beautiful day, we took our time and enjoyed. We found out about this course through GolfNow.
