Very forgiving front 9 whilst challenging back 9. Par 3s too long in wind - needed driver on one which was over 200 from whites.

Always pleased
Oakmont is a challenging course that is also forgiving on most holes. My friends and I play here 23-4 times a year and the Course is always in good to great shape. Staff is very friendly and the club house is a great place for a cold beverage and a bite to eat after the round. It is about an 45 minute ride for me, but we’ll worth it.

Pretty course, reasonable rates.
Very attractive course, in good shape. Rates are very reasonable. Carts electric (always a plus for me). Bonus: extensive beer list. Worth the hike from Ellicott City.

Decent course, but not maintained
Course was fine, but they didn't cut the grass for a while. The fairways were long like the rough. And the rough was super rough. My playing partner lost a ball in the middle of the fairway due to long grass.. that was just weird.

I have played course a few times and was very unimpressed this time. Greens were slow, bumpy, and patchy making the ball move all over the green. Tee boxes were also in rough shape with uneven footing and lacking grass.
