Got to play both courses
Played the North course two months. Got the Hot Deal to play the South course. Golfnow website indicates that range balls are included but they did not say only for regular rate, not Hot Deal. That was disappointed because we got that over an hour early thinking we have the range balls to warm up.
The course is short but fairway is narrow. No water at all in the course. Nice and new golf cart but bad cart path. It is a decent course but not sure it's worth the slightly over an hour drive.
Great for new to intermediate player
Had a fun time with my friends who are new to golf. We kept up a good pace and only had to wait a few minutes on some tee boxes to play. For the price this course is excellent. Besides it being wet (which is nobody's fault) the only things that were bad were some green skirts dried up and peeling and some weed wacking needs to be done around some trees surrounding greens (noticed on hole 17). I didn't have the best tee shot on that hole but I was only 15 yards off the green and it took me quite awhile to find it in some tall grass surrounding a tree stump.
Wide open
Wide open fairways great tee boxes and great greens. Upon arriving got a cart equipped with gps and Bluetooth to play music. Trees along the fairways are spread out so very easy to find your ball if you hit it into the trees. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Couldn’t recommend this course more
Rainy day added to challenge
A good challenging course. Some holes will bait you to drive for the green if you're a big hitter-patience is key. It also gave me an opportunity to play in wet weather. I was late to my tee time, but the staff was understanding and got my round in without any problems. I'll hit this course again in dry weather. Can't beat the price compared to other courses in northern VA as long as you're willing to make the drive.
Slow pace
They book too much as the pace of play is always awful. They will pair you up no matter what. The course is ok and getting in better shape. This course used be a little budget gem now it’s a churn n burn course.
Great course
This is always a great course to play. The course is well cared for and the staff is definitely friendly.
Best value in the area
The course is in solid shape. Brand new carts with GPS and bluetooth. It's short and pretty wide open so it's a good place for people just learning to play the game.
Great course
Gotta love the value for the price. Really well layed out. Makes you use a variety of shots
Great Day
Pros - course is in good condition, brand new GPS golf carts, good pace of play and good food at restaurant
Cons - Par 70, no cart paths, small greens, short course.
