Short 9-hole course with difficult greens
The Lake Course at Windy Hill is a 9-hole course that makes up for holes that are a bit short with fairways that are protected by heavy woods on either side. The greens are also challenging with a lot of undulation making putting challenging. Green condition in the summer months is not great. One par-3 requires a 165 yard tee short over water. The 9th hole has a green that is at least 50 feet above the fairway level and an undulating green. Walking the Lake Course will give your legs quite a workout navigating the ups and downs of the hilly course.
Challenging short par-3
The par-3 course at Windy Hill is short with many holes less than 120 yards, but the greens are very challenging. Some of them have extreme slopes, mounds, and dips making putting quite difficult. The greens are small as well. Green conditions have been poor in the summer months.
My only complaint about the course is the tee boxes. They need to be leveled badly. On some of the tees, positioning the ball where you want it requires standing on uneven ground so the ball is above your feet.
Hello, u000005150330. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Lakes at Windy Hill Golf Course.
Extremely Poor Course Management
Upon check in, we learned that this course allows more people to book tee times than they can actually accommodate and as such half of our party had to leave and the other had to wait 30 minutes just to get a cart. Staff were neither apologetic nor helpful. I would not recommend patronizing this business when so many others are actually kind to customers.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your visit. We will work on improving the booking process to better accommodate our guests and ensure that our staff is more apologetic and helpful in the future.
Good local spot
New owner has been putting in work to get the course in better shape.
Only complaint is the pace of play.
Very rough shape
For $21 walking 9 senior rate, not worth it. 2.5 hours to play 9 on a short course on a weekday. Most of the tees are only sand and no grass. No difference from fairway to rough. Greens the worst I’ve played. Not healed from aerification. Very rough. Impossible to putt. Lots of goose poop. The course was in better shape in February and March. Not recommended.
Decent par 3 course
If you hit the hot deals on golf now you can get some decent deals. I haven't played the full course yet, but the par 3 course is great for your short game.
Not bad for a quick nine
The price is cheap and the course is actually pretty nice for the money. There are only nine holes of regular length and even then it’s a bit short but very tight. There is also a par three course in sight if you are interested. The carts are brand new which is nice. I just wish they had a ranger out there keeping the pace of play moving. There was a pair that was slowing down pace of play to an absolute crawl. They wouldn’t pick it up and didn’t let anyone play through. But other than that, great place to play nine without breaking the bank.
New owership
It's nice to freshen up the Club house, improvements on driving range mini golf. But the course needs tons of help.
Won't be back until then.
Bad
Cool course layout but the greens were tue worst ive ever played.
Save your money for somewhere else
Greens were dirt and crab grass. Wouldn’t play here again if they gave me a free membership for a year.
We apologize for the condition of the greens and the presence of crab grass during your visit. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your feedback.

Should be half the price.
$45 dollar + service fee is laughable for 18 here.
We apologize if our pricing did not meet your expectations. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Solid time
It’s a fun little course that isn’t in the greatest condition but still a good time.
Par 3 course review
Very fun to play I just wish some of the holes would’ve been a bit longer
We appreciate your detailed review of our par-3 course at Windy Hill. We apologize for any negative experiences you had with the green conditions in the summer months and the uneven tee boxes. Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.
