Course Needs Work
The course was fair for its price I suppose. The fairways were terrible but the greens and tee boxes were ok. It is expected with the price you pay. I wouldn’t recommend this course for a intermediate-advance golf player. The layout was also terrible and it’s really only a 9 hole course, you can play 18 just really play the 9 again with some different tee boxes.
Fun Course with Great Staff
This was only our second time playing Aquia. It is a 9 hole with multiple tee box locations (to play 18). Very well laid out and challenging. The staff as well as everyone we ran in to were extremely pleasant and friendly. The price cant be beat and I would recommend this course. Tough time of year for leaves but if you keep it in the fairway (which I did not) you will be fine.
Eh
I guess playing for $15 is (ok), but it pretty much looks like a course that should be in someone’s backyard. Kids playing on a hole or two, kids riding bicycles all over the course. If you live within 5 minutes I’d say it’s worth it.
Did not personally enjoy this course
Did not like the overall Course layout, the fairways were in bad condition, and the greens as well did not look or play nice at all
Putting Greens
This golf course is excellent for the money but the putting greens have so many craters that I can’t rely on my skill to sink the putt.
Bargain golf done right
Course is 9 holes with modified T boxes. I enjoy 18 holes on a 9 hole course because it allows me to revisit my front 9 errors and make good. The fairways are short, but tight with constant threat of breaking country club house windows. This adds to the appeal for me and reminds me of a different era in golf in which all clubs in the bag were used vice driver and 7 iron. Put the driver down, shape some 3 wood shots, and iron your way to success on this fine 9-hole mod 18 course.
Condem this course
This is by far the worse course I have ever seen. It is basically a mud pit. The greens are filled with sand, mud, and crab grass. I paid for 18 holes but after 9 I left. I am blown away by how a course that is build around a decent neighborhood could be so far from half way decent. I must say the staff was extremely friendly. I wish him the best and hope he gets a job at a better course because this one clearly needs to be shut down until it can be made into a half way excuse of a course. I am trying to upload pictures of the greens but the app won't let me. But I assure you they are not greens. You can not see a difference from second cut and greens.
9 hole course
This is a 9 hole course that winds through a neighborhood. While playing 8th hole there were people outside there house grilling out and drinking. No harm there but they were loud and I believe it was the Tee off at 7 or 8. Once teed off the group of people moved onto the tee box throwing footballs and frisbees to each other.
Great value...but that's about it.
I had fun playing here. My daughter came with me, her first round ever. This course is WEIRD. 9 hole course with some holes having separate tees for first and second nine. The course has high risks with low rewards to show for it. Many holes call for a driver due to length, but have blind narrow landing areas. Greens have HUGE drop-offs around sides that, when hit, are sending your ball inevitably to hazards or OB. Almost every green has a drop-off like this, at least one. The first and last hole are almost indescribable. First one is 245 yard par 4 where tees and green are level, but there is a 75-foot chasm in between. It runs parallel to the driving range, the mats are like 50 feet from right-most mat. Needless to say, the hole is literally COVERED with range balls, with some incoming if you can't make the carry and end up in the chasm.
The 9th (18th) hole is either a par 3 or par 5 depending on what hole you are on. The par three is a 100 yard shot straight up about a 75 to 100 foot terraced hill to a tiny green. The par 5 is a blind tee shot that lands on a downhill slope. You then have to hit up the 75 foot hill while on a 10* downslope. Interesting.
