An accurate tee shot from the towering tee above the par-4 5th leaves you this short but challenging approach. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The 2nd hole and adjacent 17th are both longish uphill par-4s that are nearly mirror images. Par is a good score on either. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

Not a lot of flat lies in the landing zone on the par-4 12th, making the approach that much tougher. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-4 14th is the first time you encounter a water hazard on this course, a nice reprieve. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

THe par-3 15th also has water in view, giving you back-to-back opportunities to lose your lucky Noodle. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-5 18th is just a super cool golf hole. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

Love This Course
Whiskey Creek is my favorite course in MD. I try to play it a couple times each year, but the rack rate on the weekends is too expensive so I look for days during the week when I can make the almost one hour drive. I love the layout, which provides a nice balance of risk/reward holes. The vistas--especially #4--are beautiful. The fairways were beautiful, the bunkers were nice, and the greens were quick but running true. The rough was a tad on the long side and thick so was somewhat penal. From tee to green, the course was in excellent condition. We were a twosome and a single joined us who was very slow! The marshal said something to him, and he seemed to pick up the pace. After the round, we sat out on the wrap-around porch and had lunch. Our waitress (sorry, I don't remember her name) was exceptional and took good care of us. The food came out quickly and was very good. We left her a good tip for her efforts. Whiskey Creek is an Ernie Els design and is exceptional. You have to play it at least once--you'll see the excellent condition, the beautiful vistas, and the fairness of the layout.
Favorite Golf Course
If you haven’t played Whiskey Creek, put it on your to do list
Anoher great round at Whiskey Creek
Course is great. Is there a drop area for #16? Wish there was a sign posted.
Great course
This course is one of the best in the DMV. If you’re visiting the dc area a looking for a good golf experience play this course.
Great Course but staff could improve
Course was in excellent condition, which is to be expected for the amount they charge for a round of golf. However my experience with the gentleman working the golf shop was far from excellent. I had a 7:00 tee time which you pay top dollar for. His first reaction when I arrived early to pay and warm up was to tell me that they weren’t open yet and shut the golf shop door. Then when paying for the tee time I mentioned that my playing partner was unable to make it that morning and I would be paying for one. He questioned my statement and then stated that he should charge me for the second tee time since they typically require 24 hour notice, but that he would not. After playing my round which was great, I get home to find that through the GolfNow app, Whiskey Creek reported that I was a no show and that I would be charged for the second tee time. A bit shady and poor business practice… there are a bunch of nice courses in the area so unless Whiskey Creek resolves this issue, I will not be returning and don’t recommend playing there.
Amazing
My friend and I played whiskey creek for the first time today. Not only was the course in amazing shape, it was also incredibly fun and challenging. The service was top notch! Everyone is extremely helpful and eager to please! I think I was asked how my round was 3 times while leaving from 3 different people. Highly recommend this place!!!!

Beautiful course!
Beautiful course! Well-maintained course with friendly staff. Very enjoyable scenery. Greens played medium pace. Par three tee boxes were well used. New golf cart technology and parking lot assistance was phenomenal.
Great Experience
Everything about the experience was great. Conditions, layout, and page of play. The staff couldn't be nicer and more efficient. Well worth the cost and one hour drive.
Always a good time out
I’ve played this course in the cold, rain and on days like this - perfect conditions, and the one constant is the shape of the entire course, always the best it can be. I play most of the courses along the 270 corridor and this is by far the best in the area - might be a bit pricier than some but we’ll worth every penny.
Poor course conditions
I've played this course dozens of times. This is the worst it's been in years. Fairway digits everywhere. Greens not in the best if shape with most of holes.
It Is What It Is - WC’s Confirmed Standard
Same ole ridiculously slow pace of play, with maintenance & player assistance employees more concerned about catering to their free playing, fellow coworkers and their family member guests than WC’s paying patrons.
Great course - great staff - great condition
Whiskey was in great shape. Got around in 4:10. Staff was very friendly. Paid $120 which is a little steep but I guess the price we pay in the area. Definitely recommend playing here. Dollar for dollar with other courses in the area WC is worth it.
