Course Has Closed
This course was a fun 9-hole state park course in an area that did not have many courses. Sad that it closed.
Nice course
Great course for the price. Cart path could use some work. Greens n fairways were in good condition. I will definitely play this course again. Very nice pro shop. Every one we met was very friendly.
Hidden Eastern Kentucky Gem
The price of this course is only reflecting there only being 9 holes, but don't get discouraged, it's 9 holes that can be repeatedly played and enjoyed without any boredom. Overall, the course isn't PGA material by any means, but has a laid back atmosphere that is enjoyable for groups and singles alike, leaving you comfortable from tee to green.
Tee Boxes (Good): Although lacking in landscaping, it's a tee box. Regular grass, soft ground, clearly marked.
Fairways (Fair): Narrow layout throughout course, tree lined on almost every side. Rolling elevation changes. Some bare spots, as expected from last years drought, but easily avoidable. Good roll out off the tee. Regular grass fairways.
Greens (Good): Provide true roll and breaks. A bit on the slower side, but might be where it's early in the year. Some damaged spots that you can tell are being taken care of by maintenance staff for upcoming season around the edges. Great pin locations. Accepts good iron shots into greens.
Hazards (Trouble): As stated before, every hole is tree lined, meaning get in the trees, you better expect a lay up, no way to clear your way to the green. No sand bunkers, but huge cliffs a few yards away from rough on some holes.
Price (Exceptional): You get more then you bargain for at this course and lets face it, a round of golf for under $20 couldn't be more motivational to go play today.
Amenities (Good): Offers regular snacks, soft drinks, and merchandise at the club house. Steps from the golf course is a beautiful lodge offering fresh cooked meals by the state parks head chef, leaving you stuffed to end your day.
Nice play for a nice price
Course was a little rough due to lack of rainfall but was otherwise a nice course to play.
Good, but could use some work.
First, I had a great time playing this course. That being said, the fairways are in need of major caretaking and the cart paths as well. The greens are in great shape, but the fairways are brown, hardpacked, dry, and dusty.
Normally those things would be a major issue for me, but for the price of a round of 18 holes, all in all I say it's a good course.
Good course, great price
Good 9 hole course. Very friendly staff. Good deals. Park is beautiful. Very leasure play. Had fun!
Horrible
The tee boxes were awful the fairways were awful and the greens were awful I wouldn't play here again if it was free
This course is nice for a fast round of golf.
This is a great place to take people who are learning the game.
Great value..!!!!!!
Course was in pretty good shape, and the value was exceptional! Was camping with my family so the course was very accessible, clean and friendly. Had a great time.......THANKS GOLF-NOW...!!!!
Short with lots of trees and rocks
More than likely won't play again. Great value for the money but many good shots end up bad because of trees.
Lots of personality
I like this course more every time I play it. Beautiful natural setting. Oak trees abound. Stay away from them. Once in the trees, it's hard to get out. Fairways were in good shape, but the grass is cut pretty high. # 6 is an intimidating par 4e. Off the tee, you hit from up high down into a sharp dogleg right, the fairway sloping left. Not many good options for getting on in 2. Greens were in good shape. Some had a few rough patches. They were rather slow.
E KY Hill (not moutain) golf
My dad and I stopped here for 9 holes not expecting much but really enjoyed ourselves. The course is definitely hilly and a bit short but accuracy is required. The fairways were full of grass, so not much run out but were nice to hit iron shots in. The greens were in good shape.
