Augustine Golf Club
About
Carved from Stafford County's rolling, emerald green hills, Augustine Golf Club plays across a scenic landscape abundant with mature pines and hardwoods. The pristine white bunkers and the lush fairways contrast nicely with the trees. The course conveniently sits just 30 miles from the Washington Beltway. In 2011 when the golf course was acquired by Raspberry Golf Management, who are responsible for several courses in the area, Augustine underwent major renovations that increased its playability. The greens, fairways, rough, bunkers, and tee boxes were all redone. The layout offers a challenge but is gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Included in a round of golf at Augustine are range balls and unlimited use of the driving range, which has different targets and a large putting green.

Nice Round of Golf
I enjoyed the round and the course was in pretty good condition for a wet February day. I'd play it more often if I was from that area.
First Time This Year
I have not been out to this course in about a year but had an enjoyable round. The fairways are a bit thin this time of year and surprisingly it was NOT cartpath only. Greens are in pretty good shape and the staff seemed nice enough. I will certainly go back more often.
Winter golf
The course is in fair shape for the winter. Greens look great but the fairways are still on the thin side. I wish they had more grass on the fairways. I do look forward to seeing how the come in this spring.
Fun track:
60-90 min frost delay which was initially concerning especially rolling up on 40 players around the practice green and range. Starter sent groups of multiple tee boxes which was brilliant. Started on time and finished in 4hrs. Great condition considering the time of year. No temp tees or greens although somewhat frozen which obviously was out of their control. Greens rolled great, always a fun time, added bonus 90° cart rule. 👍
It’s winter time
You have to remember, it’s January. Golf courses on the east coast in January are dormant. So with that in mind. The course is good. Has many different types of holes. Some long ones and short par 4’s. Overall can’t go wrong with Augustine golf course.
Overall the course was great. Tee box's were really well maintained. Only downside of the course was the bunkers. They were in bad shape. But hey. Just don't hit in them.
Friendly staff, beautiful course
First off, shoutout to my guy Bruce, the starter at Augustine. He was so sweet and welcoming and definitely started us off on a good note! Thanks, Bruce! :)
The course itself was in fair shape. The greens were gorgeous and super fast, but easy to get the hang of. The fairways were pretty dry and dead, so some of my drives were rolling 30-40 yards after impact. Bunkers were basically hard as rock, so my foursome ended up pulling our balls from some of them depending on how bad they were.
Overall, the course isn’t as prestigious as it was when I played it several years ago, but it’s definitely still very nice and worth playing at least once if you get the chance!
Amazing course
Everything about it was amazing. Only complaint is they could have cleaner bathroom’s.
Augustine - Awful Condition
I know its early in the season but conditions were awful regardless of early spring. Little to no grass on tee boxes. Very spotty bare spots on fairway. Absolutely no grass around greens. Had to chip off dirt or weeds. Greens weren’t to bad. Will be a long time before I play here again which is to bad since I live less then 10 minutes away.
