Wow
Haven’t played here for a while. We were amazed at how nice the greens were.
The super is doing a great job!
Crazy lsyout
Overall course condition was decent and greens were in very good shape but I don’t believe I’ve ever played a course with a more convoluted layout - especially the front 9 - back 9 was considerably more traditional. Several holes put u in a very vulnerable situation of getting hit by a ball which nearly happened to our group. In addition to the cross-crossing of fairways in play by other groups there were several holes on the front 9 where u are forced to club down on your tee shot only to have a longer shot on your approach to the green. This course will always have a “low ceiling” until they make major changes to th layout of the front 9. One obvious change would b on hole #3 the green and tee should b reversed.
Love this course
The only reason I said good for the course conditions, was because some of the cups were placed around places that were tough to putt through. I still would recommend this course!
Starter
They could use a starter to make complete 3 or 4somes. Pace of play should improve and no have two or three carts to a group.
Still worth the trip
My group plays Johnathons once or twice a year. We make the hour drive because we know to expect above average everything. In 6-7 years, it never disappoints. It’s been dry for a while so the ground is hard, but the course stays green and playable.
Front and back 9s completely different. Front, more wide open, back a bit odd, but getable. Hole 3 after the back to back par 5s to start is always backed up, but we came in at just over 4 hours. Always fun to play. Always recommended.
Always a pleasure, staff very friendly.
Very nice atmosphere, easy-going. Easy to get there. Will come back.
Amazing Course.
Unbelievable course for the price and the course is extremely taking care of. And some good transfusions.
