Frog Hollow Golf Club
About
Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Very Good Course
Course was in good shape. Greens were in real good shape. Bald guy in the Pro Shop is one miserable SOB. Other than him, was a great day.
First time this year.
What I expected. Course is in fine shape. Some bunkers had puddles of water, that’s the only negative re conditions. Pace of play could have been better. Our 4 some did some waiting throughout. 4.30 to play 18
Nice course
Nice layout and challenging. Not very difficult, no surprises everything in view. Keep the ball in fairway and you can score well, stay out of the rough. Nice track.
Almost 100%
10:20 Sunday tee time , in the car heading home at 1:35. Most players bailed because of forecast. Our gain!
90%+ tee to green. Greens Rolling fast and consistent. The one bunker I found today was on 17 right side. It did have water in it. I took a drop. Only a few needed work. Same with tee boxes. Few bad ones. Frog Hollow is In as good of shape I can remember in the last 5 years. ( We play 4-5 times a year here) I lipped out a 10 foot birdie put on 16 after one of my best 4 irons ever. Hit. Pin high left and 205 yards.pin was in the back. Wish I made that putt.
Nice course, but quite smokey!
The course was in great shape. The pace of play was fine. Took a little over 4 hours to complete 18 holes. Unfortunately, the smoke from the Canadian wildfires really made the conditions a little tough. It was very difficult to see the ball in the air. However, on a clear day I would love another crack at it. Great value ffor the money spent.
Still holding strong
Played yesterday for my second round at this course this year. Given the past few weeks without rain, the course is still holding on strong and in great shape. Really the only worn out areas are where the carts come off the path after the tee boxes to begin heading to your ball. Greens are in excellent shape, rough is manageable, and fairways are also good. Bunkers are poor, but I hear there planing on redoing them so I’d have to assume they’re not going to put any money into their maintenance until they’re back up to playing standards. If you happen into one, you’ll most likely have to pull it out and drop next to it. Some par 3 tee boxes are starting to show their seasonal age but I’m nit picking there. Still, it’s the nicest place I’ve played this year, out of a dozen rounds or so. Sadly, the pub was closed for some reason after our round but not a big deal. Plenty of places around to go grab a beer afterwards.
What a Great Course!!!!
I have brought my traveling golf club down to Delaware since we heard about Frog Hollow. We have never had bad conditions or complaints. The course is showing its teeth with age. What a great track. The price is perfect as I hope now with Ron Jaworski buying another course in the area. That they don't do the sme as he does and raise the rates and not care about tge weekend golfer. Cause as I have seen, all of his tee sheets are wide oen from 10am till 2pm with him asking over $120.....
One of my favorite courses
Always a good time and always a lot of fun. One of my favorite courses to play
