Bayside Resort Golf Club
About
Bayside Resort Golf Club has a scenic location overlooking Assawoman Bay. The club boasts one of the Ocean City area's only Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses. The course stretches to a whopping 7,545 yards from the signature tees, offering plenty of holes for long hitters. Nicklaus created a tough test of golf that features a wide variety of holes. The natural wetlands and woodlands were not only carefully preserved but also incorporated into the course to provide interesting hazards. Although natural hazards abound, there are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout the golf course. In addition to being a challenge, many of the holes also take advantage of the beautiful views of the coastline. It is a formidable but fair course that is made more approachable to different skill levels with four other sets of tees.

slow pace of play
pace of play was horrible. i was paired with a member. he decided to quit after the 10th hole due to slow play.
Wow
Went in with no expectations - and loved the course. Course was in great condition for this time of year.
Played 27 holes with the replay rate of $15 for 9 and $20 for 18 - can't beat that. The multiple tees options are great as well.
Will definitely be back sometime this summer.
Loved the finishing hole. Outside staff was no overly helpful with information but that was the only negative part.
Great Course and Great Staff
I booked my tee time for the wrong day, and they were extremely understanding and accommodating. They told me they could probably get me out in 2 hours due to a scramble and then worked hard to get me and my friend out in 20 minutes. We had the whole course to ourselves, it was beautiful but challenging. Good amount of sand and water, but the greens rolled nicely and we had a blast. They had tees set up for every type of player, it could play 7400 or 5600. Would definitely play again.
Awesome course
I played after some big rain came through and conditions were still good. Played via golfnow and got a great rate so the price was good. There are water views on pretty much every hole. Certainly one of the best courses in the OC/DE area.
Great off season value -- but do in season as well
I have played Bayside multiple times and never get tired of it. In the off season, they offer a great value and definitely a place to try at a very affordable rate. Conditions are still immaculate, staff is great, and the course is a true challenge. Don't miss the off season opportunity to play one of the top 100 courses.
Great course fun to play
Great course. Greens were a bit bumpy due to airation, but otherwise was great. Imagine it would be much tougher in summer conditions.
Bayside Resort Golf Course, Selbyville, De.
I have played this course several times before, and love it. At the golfnow rate, it's a top ten ever deal. Got paired with a "local" who was a hoot...lots of laughs. Bonus day of late October just made it even greater. Thanks for the wonderful Bayside experience!
Excellent Course...No "Gimme" Holes Here!
Bayside Resort is a wonderfully laid out tract that offers challenges a-plenty. Fairway bunkers come into play on practically every hole as does water hazards. Definately intimidated by the Par 5 second hole with long water on the right so I left the driver in the bag. Probably most challenging were the greens! Undulation abounds and they were very quick. You will need extra balls at Bayside. Staff was stellar and I was humbled when the score card tallied 47/44 (91). Great course but you better be tactful with every shot!
FANTASTIC!
Phenominal golf course. Very challenging, but very playable, forcing you to make shots. Filled with risk-reward options and various ways to play most holes. Conditions were fantastic, with true, quick greens.
Beautiful course
The course is beautiful. I have played it several times. However, the pace of play was so poor we walked off the course after the 15th hole. At that time we were almost 1 hour behind pace of play. A large group in front of us was playing from tees beyond their imagination, waiting for the greens to clear and proceeded to hockey puck their way to the green.
This course is in mint condition
We played this course for the second time and found it in great shape, fair but challenging and will be back next year.
Very challenging with scenic views.
Great course that is very challenging with great views. Greens are always very quick and the staff is always very friendly. I have played there several times and will continue to play there when I get the chance.
Wish we knew
Didn't know the course had recently been aerated. Greens were extremely bumpy causing the ball to bounce off course AND it was cart path only. This is a brutal course to play cart path. Would have been a much more pleasant experience if the course had been in better shape
VERY DIFFICULT
Very nice course but almost to difficult to enjoy. there wasn't really any wind on the course that I felt but the ball went nowhere. the ground must have been really wet. the layout is about as difficult as I have played. Don't expect to have one of your better rounds on this course(bring a lot of balls) Seriously !
Outstanding valuue!
This is one of the very best golf courses in the area.
Great Value
I could not see paying regular rates for this course. Although it is a beautiful course with great views of north OC, I was able to play only because of the reduced rate. Keep it in the short grass and don't come up short to the greens and you will be fine.
Great course
The course was excellent, but they charged for range balls, despite the golfnow website stating that range balls were included.
A good test
LOT's of trouble to get into with water on most holes and over a hundred traps in all the places your ball wants to go.. Greens held very well and were reasonably fast and true. Scoring is possible if you hit it in the right spots. Fairway bunkers are killers though.
It's a beautiful layout with many very appealing looks.
I will definitely play it again.
This is likely the best course on the Delmarva Peninsula.
The golf course is challenging, but worth the beating it gives you! Conditions were excellent, the price for this particular round cannot be beat, and I'd play there every week if the price was the same.
