This course is not deal and the condition of.the greens is horrendous. Fees should be refunded

As a previous member of this course, I was shocked to see what has happened there. It was a beautiful course at one time, but has not been taken care of at all. Whoever has acquired this course has let it go. Nothing has been done to maintain it. There were no markers on most holes and no fairways to speak of. The greens were horrendous, we did not even keep score. I felt as if I was hitting a ball on a cow pasture. I should have demanded my money back. Will not play there again.

I played this course several times years ago when it was in 'country club' condition, it is far from that now. Sparse grass on fairways with a lot of weeds, tees were grassless, all dirt. Greens appeared to be diseased, parts of every green were baked and cracked dirt, overall awful condition.

Don't be fooled by the words "country club" in the name. This place has been run down and it is not worth anything. I have played golf for 15 years and this was probably the worst one that I ever played. Some parts of the fairway don't have grass and the weeds are as widespread as regular grass. The greens hardly have any grass and could have plenty of sand and bad spots. One could still tell that probably 30 years ago this place was decent. The original design was not bad. The club house likely was a decent place... well, time has changed. They should close this facility. It does not deserve to carry any name for a golf club.

Granted, only reason I went here was I got a golfnow deal for $17, but the course was terrible, from tee to green, I know it's hot out and we haven't had much rain, but I'd say 4/18 I teed off on grass, fairways were playable and the bunkers were actually nice, but the greens were awful as well. Save your $17

While the title "country club" would lead you to expect some level of quality on the course, this is not the case for Brandywine. While I'd like to be able to say at least one positive thing, they have quality golf carts, unfortunately ours actually died on us 3 holes into our round. The tee boxes were not properly marked or labeled on the majority of the holes. The fairways were in poor condition and not evenly cut on any hole. Most unfortunate, the greens were by far the worst part of the course. Not cut evenly, marks from balls that appeared to be there for months, cracked ground covering large portions of greens, and large portions covered by sand in the middle of the greens to cover severe damage. There was an overall lack of care shown on this course, as if there has been no maintenance for several months. While it appears this could be a good course to play on, given the right time and attention to it, there was no indication that there will be any changes soon.

Sad to see a once beautiful golf course in the condition this one is in. Although I have played many times and it is less than a mile from my home, the truth is I have played my last round here. The fairways are mostly bare and most of the greens are cracked, one even has a sand spot that is almost a bunker in the middle of it. I wish Brandywine could be restored, but right now I have to say R.I.P.

Fairways sucked... No grass in tee box... Greens with cracks and dead

The course was in the worst condition I have ever seen and had to pay for. The tee boxes had no grass, the majority of the greens are either cracked and bumpy or tore up from ill repair. They did have a large presence of people working on the grass (would be nice if they would at least get off the greens when you are chipping up) so I assume they are addressing the issue. This course may improve but for now I would avoid paying for this place. You might as well go play in the back yard!

the course is destroyed. there is no grass anywhere, just hardpan dirt. i won't even consider going back for at least a year and only after I read some reviews saying they've fixed whatever happened here.

The fairways and greens have dead areas where no grass grows. I'm not sure if there was a drought condition that caused this but some of the greens are so hard and barren the ground is actually cracking. I had played here a few times over the years and the course was usually in very good shape. I'm not sure whats going on.

Two years ago this was one of the best kept courses in the Delaware Valley now it is absolutely garbage. Very little grass to be found anywhere entire place is burnt out, clubhouse looks like it was recently looted, greens were okay except on 7 where there was a five by five foot area of sand that was as deep as the bunkers. Brandywine has been slowly deteriorating and now it makes Ed Oliver look like Merion. I would not be surprised if they didn't open back up again next spring they don't seem to have the money to keep things going over there.

Can't believe this course is open. Tees are burned out mats of aerated, dead turf. Fairways are brown and baked. Greens are like concrete, and some are so dry they are actually cracked! Worst conditions I've seen in many years-should have demanded my money back.

1 hole teebox horrible fairway poor. how to play around a twosome that were slow and bad. got stung 3 times while in the sand trap in front of the par 3 i think was the 4th or 5 th hole. for company on 7 and 8 had a fox follow a long at a distance. when i got to 9 teebox they had work on it and left the plugs on bo the brown tee 9th green was the worst baked half dead and cracked. Was so .p.o i left. They need to close and spend some mney to fix the course. would not go bqck if they paid me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would ask for my money back if I could. No grass on fairways. The balls rolled onto the rough which was a good thing since one could hit off of some grass. Greens were so dry many had cracks. The course is just not playable now!

Played here a couple years ago, really enjoyed the course and thought it was pretty nice. Returned today thinking I'd see the same thing. I was wrong, this course looked like it hadn't been maintenanced in years, was totally awful. Everything about it other than pace of play which was because no one else was playing basically. It was really sad to see a nice course go this bad. Hopefully something is done with it because it used to be a nice place to play. Would not go back there unless significant improvements are made to everything.

Starting when you drive into the parking lot, the bushes are out of control and weeds everywhere. That theme follows through the whole course.

The course tries hard to make sure the conditions are the worst you can experience. The tee boxes have no grass, weeds growing and cracks everywhere. It looks like they haven't watered any part of the course in over a year. There is tall grass around all the greens and the rough. The fairways are rock hard and again the grass is 80% dead. It's like the course was abandoned and left to it's own demise.

This is the worst course I have ever seen or played. We played at 4:30pm for $36, which seems high for that late of a time. No grass on the tee boxes at all, very little grass in the fairways, greens are cracked like they haven't been watered for weeks. 1st cut is almost a foot tall or more in some areas, just an absolute disgrace this place. When you pull up, it looks like its closed down. How this place has members, I have no clue. I would never spend my money on this place. To top it off, there is a hole where there is pile of sand on the green almost like they created a bunker on the green. Absolute garbage!!!!!!!!! Also, a tree fell down in 16th fairway after we had passed it 30 seconds before. Stay away and go play Clayton park, this place has no class and does not care about the sport of golf. I was robbed by these people. Don't forget the tire marks on the greens and the non sprinklers here. I could go on forever at how bad this place is!
