Great spot for the money.
Some holes are a little close but the whole course was in great shape. We ended up getting put in the middle of a small tourney that was playing and heard a few gripes from those players, but we told them the starter told us to go out, not on us. Great overall round though.
Fun course
Conditions were a little spotty with some crabgrass but overall I’m pretty good shape. The greens were nice. Interesting layout with quite a bit of trouble like grassy bushes and sand if you’re offline. Gold tee is quite short. We’d play it again.
Can’t beat a deal at The Wetlands!
I’ve always liked it. It is a bit back and forth in places, but I’ve found over the years playing here, it’s always worth playing for a hot deal. ( a couple times a year)
Friendliness has occasionally been an issue here, but not this time. Sorry I don’t remember his name, but he explained the new OB markers that are on the course very clearly, and joked that, yes, they look like road cones. Only about 4-6 inches in diameter and about 3-4 feet tall. Orange and a band of white on top, capped with orange. It does CLEARLY define OB. I like the idea.
It’s not called Wetlands for nothing. Some areas were very moist. I’ve found it’s always been fun to play with enough challenge to not get bored.greens were above average and the bunkers were above average for what I’ve seen in places.. Will come back again “When the price is right!!”
Staff is rude
The starter (Ray) is very rude and has rules that are not posted anywhere and will yell at you when you don’t know these rules. Signing twice for a cart that’s not even the right number (once in clubhouse and once on starter clipboard) why? No carts in the parking lots (but will only yell at you after you come back when he tells you how to get out into the parking lot?) Course was fine not great condition but average for a public in the area. If you go, try not to talk to the staff they ruin your experience.
Pace. Of. Play. Is. Horrible.
They sold tee times during a tournament. Took us 6.5 hours to finish. It was a waste of time and it's a shame cause I love the course but the management is so bad. It's a waste of a great course.
Like the course I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good challenge
Pin Placement Was Riddiulous!
Overall...an enjoyable day...but whoever sets the pins needs to be reminded that they should set those for the recreational golfer, and not like it's Sunday at the U.S. Open.
Dried out nice
Played after a rain and the course allowed carts to my surprise. Good fast greens. Some bad pin placements and only fair fairways and some spotty rough. Very slow play and marshals were too nice to move them along in front of us. An ok play. A good day golfing
Great Course, Fast/Firm Greens
Great course, loved it. However, greens are very firm and fast. Great shots turn into 10ft putts or chips because nothing bites, it bounces instead. Overall experience was great and would recommend to friends.
Beautiful greens - Would play again
Have played here several times over past few years. Can’t remember it ever looking so good. Congrats to the management and grounds keepers. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Carts are a little older but fine. Fairways were beautiful, sand traps were light and fluffy, and greens were rolling 9-10 easy. Very challenging pin placements made this a fun afternoon. We’ll be back!
Good course for a deal
I don’t think I would play and pay without Golfnow. Not sure what the regular rate is,, but the hot deal rate is perfect for me.
Bunkers a little thin on sand. Greens were fast and above average.
