Ocean Resorts Golf Club
About
Located just six miles west of Ocean City, Md., Ocean Resorts Golf Club is a good option if you're looking for a round that is fun to play but still a good value. The course is known for being player friendly enough for any skill level but there are still several challenges in store with multiple sets of tees that range from 4,800 to 6,500 yards. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also several strategically placed bunkers you'll have to contend with. The layout rewards proper club selection and good strategy but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. A unique aspect of Ocean Resorts is that it's owned by the Wor-Wic Community College, which uses the golf course as a living laboratory for students in the green industry.

Great for the price, challenging from the blue tees.
Course conditions
The greens conditions are always in, at best fair conditions. The staff continues to work on them but nothing seems to change. The fourteenth green seems to be an experiment to try different types of grass however it’s been replaced twice and neither seems to be working. The tall grass on the mounds tend to stifle views and creates problems for the less experienced golfers which makes groups backing up due to others looking for lost balls. Some of the fairways sprinklers are not working. After a good rain most of the cart paths are filled with water and terrible to drive on due to the potholes.
Good Challenge, Pace of Play Needs Improvement
Course was in great shape, greens were in great shape but slow. We played on a particularly steamy day and was hoping for a refreshment cart at some point, not sure if they have one. Also, went out as a two some and played quickly but got stuck behind 2 foursomes, which on the back nine became a wait before every shot situation. No ranger to be found, round took +5.5hrs. All things considered, would play again and staff in the club house were extremely friendly. B++
Great Roubd
Played this course with my sons Friday. Teed off at 5pm and got a full 18 in. Very challenging course with the ponds coming into play alot. Had to strategically play drives and approach shots to avoid hazards. The greens were very challenging. Alot of rain made them very slow. They were also very undulating so putting was tough. Overall a great tract with friendly staff. Can not beat the price. I would recommend this course to golfers of all levels. The tee boxes, greens and fairways were in great shape. Look forward to coming back!
Very slow greens
Greens were very slow. Even downhill putts came to a screeching halt when they hit level spots
Good Layout
I always enjoy golfing here while on vacation, year after year the course stays in great shape.
Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Just okay
It rained a lot the night before so there was a lake in every bunker. Yes, every bunker. Greens rolled very slow compared to every course near by. Tee boxes were pretty beat up and the fairways were just okay. Pace of play was outstanding. Maybe because there are so many options around.
Enjoyed it
First time I played the course. Definitely would go back. Several holes had a nice layout. Greens rolled well. Got a good sandwich at the turn with a fountain lemonade. Solid no frills day of golf.
Beautiful day, good condition, no rush good pace even though I was joined by some slower golfers. 14th green in recovery, currently like playing a heavily aerated, sanded green. I hope they can keep the course in good shape through the summer. Bar was closed after an earlier outing but some snacks were available in pro shop. I was pleased.
I have played the course several times and this is the best shape it has ever been. Also, the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Thank you Billie.
The five hour plus round detracted from a nice day and decent course conditions. No marshals and when I mentioned to the afternoon starter he could care less. Doubtful I will return.
