Hobbit's Glen Golf Club

Great course , Great employees. Played with my son and we had a great time. Helped that I had my best round TOO!! Club house is under consrtuction but looks like that will only make the course nicer when finished.

Great course, good value. Beautiful setting in Columbia MD. Greens are fast, but in excellent condition.

Not many hazards, very open.

Course was In good shape. Staff was excellent. I walked where jack Nicholas played!!! Enough said.

Paid 20 walking rate was 75% off then charged 20 for cart. Disappointed with cost for a Monday afternoon. In my opinion a over priced muni track nothing extraordinary. Will not repeat. If they charge 80$ daily don't know how they stay in business. Much better and nicer courses within 15 miles and half the price.

Hobbit's plays really well from the white tees. I was pleasantly surprised by the course conditions. It iw well worth the money. however, if you are looking for a clubhouse, you will be disappointed. The clubhouse is in the process of being re-built.

My first time playing the course. The condition of the fairways was a little tough with the grass not being green yet. The greens were slow and a little bumpy because of the recent aeration. I have heard great things about this course. I just wish it was in better shape for my first experience With paying a good price tag still.

I have played hobbiys glen twice and it is a great track, Unfortunatly the greens had punched recently and the zoysia grass fairways are not yet green. The rough is a bit patchy in places but played fairly for the most part. The white sand bunkers are in excellent condtion.
For being punched the greens didnt play to bad. Still very quick and consistent on the long putts but the short puts could easily bounce of line. If you want to play a good course in good condtion give it at least two more weeks.

Upon arriving we were asked for a confirmation number and informed that the hotdeal we booked was only valid for walking and we need to pay an 18 cart fee. Our 27$ round of golf was now 45$. It does say in the fine print that cart fee is not included but that is not typical with golf now. The proof being the groups that checked in before and after me were also booked on golf now and suprised to pay the cart fee.
The confirmation number is usually not asked for at the course either and is not a normally a big deal. However i lost my phone the day before and could not access my email so i had to call golf now and get the number. Not a big deal just not the norm through golf now and slightly inconvient.

I would say overall the course played in the condtion i played it was decent value for the money. i would give my overall experienc 3 1/2 stars.

The condition of this course was not the best right now

1st time played, worth the trip. Large fast greens held shots. Fairways helped good drives. Played white tees front, blue back, tips for pros. Big hitters can stay on the whites, some hills are 2 clubs up to reach the green. Friendly staff and atmosphere and fine dining afterward.

Tremendous golf course. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff in the pro shop (Chuck and Lisa), on the course (Jerry and Jason), and in the Coho restaurant and bar (Ian).
My wife and I were made to feel comfortable, and as a result we enjoyed a superb day of golf. The greens were fast and true, the bermuda grass fairways were soft and greening up nicely for early Spring. A beautiful course design. Thank you!

Great course, greens were fast and well taken care of. The fairways are starting to green up ( Bermuda) and the layout is great. Flag positions were tucked away but made you concentrate on executing a good approach to the green. Not a flat course so walking can get tiring ESP. If its hot out.

Hobbits is a great course that gets better all the time. New traps and green complexes by the folks who do Augusta and US Opens are the best. So is the new driving range and short game area. One of the best coureses in the DC Baltimore region.

Beautiful course, classic design, wide fairways, large greens.
Bunker and hazard placement emphasize good shot making and strategic decision making. Very playable from the white tees, but quite challenging on and around the greens. Even with winter brown out, we liked the way the ball sat up in the Zoysia fairways. Slick greens.

The greens were in great shape. Pace of play was good, I walked the course in less than four hours.
