Good course, friendly staff

Greens were in awful shape, looked like recently aerated, one+ month too late? Tee boxes also in bad shape.

This course is beautiful. There is one hole on the back nine that is absolutely crazy. The pace of play was very slow - a few "jumpers" that were a little inconsiderate.

A good golf course with fair opportunities to score. Can be enjoyed by all skill levels. Greens were recently aerated which would have been nice to know ahead of time. This made short putting impossible so tough to assess the greens. Pace of play was slow but maybe what to expect for a Friday on a holiday weekend at 5 + hours. Will try again some day because course does have good character.

Booked course on golf now for $13. Couldn't beat the price. Would have been disappointed if I had paid $25 or more cause this is a $20 course at best in its present condition. Needs to have lots of maintenance done to make it better. Grass needs to be cut, cart paths need some serious attention for potholes, and shrubs, landscaping and stairs around tee boxes were a joke.
I would be seriously upset if I paid an HOA fee to live in this development and West Winds golf club was one of my paid for ammenities. Found the actual course to be a good challenge when I wasn't trying to find my ball just off the fairways in 10" deep grass. Greens were recently aerated so not rolling true. (Hopefully better in about 2 weeks). No sand in bunkers at all, more like hard dirt. Houses all along course but not really in play unless you really spray the ball. Will probably come back again now that I know layout better but won't pay more than $18-$20 to play unless the appearance and maintenance are radically improved.

The tee boxes and the putting greens were both freshly aerated. All the dirt pills from it were still scattered on the green and tee box. Not bad on the tee box but the putting was terrible as we had to clear a path to the hole. Our tee time was at 12:28 which would have been plenty of time for them to clear at least the putting green. Our group played on since it was the first nice day after the weeks of rain.

Poor maintenance on paths, and fairways. Greens are decent

This was my first time playing this course and I was very pleased that I did.
My day here started by meeting Bobbie, who was in charge of the pro shop. She was super friendly and did all the right things that made you feel like a member in good standing.
The course was very interesting and well maintained despite the rain form the day before. This day was chilly and Sam, the chef was quick to make the best hot chocolate to warm you up for the back nine.

I like the coures net time play

131 slope 6500 yd course.

Not a course for the faint of heart. Basically the standard variety neighborhood woods course but with a LOT of tough shots. Lots of obstructions, narrow fairways, lots of verticality, normal-sized greens with a lot of drop-off and waste around the greens. This is a ball-breaker of a course. With lots of houses

But a great clubhouse and good food, nice patio, a good place to sit down and have a drink and food after the round. Just...bring your scramble game cause you're going to need it.

This is the first course that I have ever decided to trash on these reviews but there were 4 groups of 5 and on group of 6 crawling around the course. Totally unbelievable. Had to skip holes since groups were not moving at all. A regular at the course told us that this was the norm and he was not going to be a member next year. Talked to management and they just shrugged. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The best course course for your money. I have played this course numerous times and the course is in great condition at this time of the year. I am pleased to play this course for my finial round of the year.

This was my first time playing here. Overall nice course. Very challenging with alot of dog legs and uphill green placements. Really enjoy our time out there and the pace was great. Don't always need your driver on a lot of holes as you will have to lay up. Will be back left some birdies out there.

Tee boxes and fairways were bad. Some holes are just very poorly designed. Back 9 isn't very enjoyable

This was my first time playing here. Overall nice course. Very challenging on the back nine. The only thing that really stood out, was how hard the ground was every where. I am guessing it was the slopping of the course. Other than that, no complaints.

I liked the course, but it's not a great course. We did the Golfnow reservation for $35 plus lunch. We played on a Monday, so it wasn't very crowded, and we finished in 3.5 hours.

The course layout has A Lot of dog legs and uphill green placements. It seemed we were always hitting uphill or couldn't see the flag from the tee box. It's like the course was designed backwards, you'll see. It's also a little tight with a lot of homes in a "shankers" wheelhouse. Traps and greens were in good shape which I liked.

I live in Baltimore so I probably won't go back. But for $35 and lunch, it's worth it.

West Winds is a nice little course about a 30 minute drive from Baltimore. The course is not long, but makes you think about every tee shot, as there is alot of trouble to hit into if you go too long. The conditions were a little scruffy, but the greens are good. As with other clubs nationally, I'm sure West Winds has struggled to keep a good product that is affordable. So far they are being successful. Try it, you'll like it...

My wife and I enjoy playing different courses around our area and usually play once or twice a weekend. I found this course on Golf Now and the price was right so we decided to test it out.

Big Mistake

There was a live band playing in the small bar/club house area that you could hear out on the golf course. They had so badly overbooked the course that we were the third group waiting in line to tee off (No starter) with two other groups stacked up behind us. It took us almost 30 minutes to play the first hole and get to tee off on the second. After watching one group of kids walking (With clubs) across our fairway to the clubhouse and another (With bikes) just walking down the fairway we decided that enough was enough.

I went back to the clubhouse and asked for a refund and was offered a rain check. When I said no I would rather have the refund the pro on site told me that I should expect this kind of delay since I was a twosome going off on the weekend. I told him the other 15 courses we have played don't seem to have this problem. He informed me they were glad they were that busy it meant they were doing well. This course is all about making money not about having a quality golfing experience. Definitely give this one a pass.

My sons and I were very disappointed to see the golf course conditions gone worst especially tee boxes which have not been mowed.

The conditions used to be great in the past.

Play there semi often. The pace of play could improve with some monitoring. Some groups simply refuse to let singles play through even with open holes in front of them. Frustrating. Staff is great. Conditions are good. Food/bar is very nice. Great to see it back in full operation since the current owners took over. Some very challenging holes, but certainly fair once you know the course.
