Goose Creek Golf Club in Leesburg, Virginia offers a challenging layout that will have you using every club in your bag. The layout has small greens that are difficult to read and narrow, winding fairways lined with thick rough. There are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens. With numerous uphill, downhill, and blind tee shots, accuracy is essential to scoring well on this golf course. Several holes on the back nine run alongside Goose Creek, providing some of the best scenery on the course. The creek and a few ponds provide water hazards on some of the holes. The course is a formidable test but diverse enough to appeal to both low and high handicappers but the affordable rates are what make Goose Creek G.C. especially appealing.

Course in great shape; but lots of "Fore's"
Course is in great shape with bent grass fairways. Wish greens could be a little larger. 4some completed round in 4hr 15 min on a Sunday afternoon. Rumor is developer of Village at Leesburg, Kettler Inc., has bought the course and will transform into Hotels and shops. Whether the course will remain is the big question. Drawback is a lot of back and forth fairways so beware of errant golf shots.
Good course. Value for money!!!
I have tried several public golf courses in the Northern VA and it is the best that I've experienced. The course is well maintained and all staff are helpful and friendly. It's really worth coming back with friends!!!
This course was disappointing
I was disappointed. The greens were in bad shape; the staff lets the public get away with not repairing ball marks. No one explains that it is not a classic layout: 4 par 5s, 4 par 3s. The par 3s are very challenging, all over 200 yards, but their number and length make for a tiring round. I was confused by the tee boxes at number 7 -- thought I hit a decent shot until I realized I'd aimed for the wrong fairway. Decent value? I guess. But it shouldn't be a featured course.
Straightforward course, ideal for a quick game.
Everything is here with minimal fuss. Front 9 a bit so-so in terms of interesting golf but back 9 quite interesting.
Good course when you can get a good rate
The course is in OK shape. Some fairways need attention, and the greens are decent. It could be better but if you get in during the weekdays mid-day you can get in for a GREAT price per round. You can't beat that. Overpriced for what it is on the weekends, but not too shabby during the week.
The Rolling Hills Can Be Chanllenging.
Course is well maintianed, staff are friendly, the rolling hills can be a challenge. There are a few holes that you cannot see the green from tee box. Be aware of errant shots. We met several groups that hit their balls right into our carts. Luckily no injury. When questioned by one of our guys why there was no warning, the response was "I put my hands up and waved at your folks." We had to tell them: please yell FORE! instead of waving your hands.
condition of fairway is bad.
I could not find way to next hole.
no starter.
rough path.
no room between green and next hole.
Goose Creek
Ok course for the money, NO driving rage which for me is a major detractor.. I use this course to practice my short game but without a range I don't play it seriously or on the weekends...
Course is ok.
Course is ok. Have to be very carefull from 1 hole to other b.c holes are close to each other. One mishit can cause ball come to other hole and may hit.
Great course
Although this course was a bit of a drive for us, we were glad we made it. The tee boxes and fairways were in pretty good condition, although the tee boxes on a few of the par 3's could have used some attention. Also, a lot of the greens needed some work as well, as it looked like a lot of people either didn't, or incorrectly, fixed their ball marks, as there were a lot of marks around the greens. However, other than that, the greens all played consistently fast and firm. The clubhouse/facilities were nice and kept clean, and the staff members were very friendly. We can't wait to play it again.
Great Course for an Intermediate Player
Great course with a number of par 4's with different length with some being short enough to go for the green in 1.
Nice old course.
It's ridiculous when the pace of play takes FIVE HOURS to complete a round of golf. Why aren't there any Marshals on golf courses any more??? Better hit some practice balls elsewhere before you come here, there is NO driving range.
Course continues to impress
Saturday afternoon pace of play incredibly quick <3.5 hours. Management continues to make improvements to the course and landscaping
Nice course!
Course was well-maintained, had a few challenging holes, good experience.
Great course!
I love this course, especially the well kept fairways. For the amount I paid, quality is tremendous. The course looks more private club than munis. The pace is good. There was one group of hackers in front of me but they politely let me pass.
Will definitely be back!
Fun course to play
This course is somewhat challenging but open enough to make it playable for the mid to high handicap player.Looking forward to my next round.
Great short course
Good for beginners with multiple short par 4s. Well maintained. Definitely worth the golfnow price of $27. This has definitely made my small rotation of courses to go to
Nice course, well maintained in my opinion
A very good course that is a bit challenging to a duffer like myself. Still the challenge is why I play courses like this one.
Great Value
First time I've played the course and was very impressed. The course is in excellent shape and the greens were rolling great. The added bonus was you only have to be 55 to get the weekday senior rate of $29 with a cart.
Great value and good conditions
GC is a very well maintained course. Rather busy though, so it wasn't a really qick round. The staff were exceptionally nice.
