Honey Bee Golf Club
About
Nestled in the heart of Virginia Beach, Honey Bee Golf Club is one of the area's most popular daily-fee golfing venues. Rees Jones designed the course, incorporating water on 10 holes as well as intricate bunkering throughout. The challenging layout has several tricky doglegs and some treacherous blind shots as well. It's a golf course that demands careful course management and some strategic thinking. Accurate shot placement is also key when maneuvering the rolling fairways and contoured greens. While it's by no means an easy golf course, it is an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, making it a popular venue for tournaments and corporate outings. For golfers looking to get an entire day of golf in, Honey Bee's sister club, Stumpy Lake, is only about half a mile away.

Outstanding
This course will challenge you starting with your first tee shot. When you lose two balls to water to start your round you have to think it's just not going to be your day, but even playing alone I have to admit this is the most I have enjoyed a round of golf since I picked up playing again.
Course was looking immaculate and even the cart path was in good condition (which tends to be a major gripe at other courses), but it was for me the greens that made things so much fun and so challenging. Real undulating greens that you had to really judge for break and pace and I loved it.
Loved it so much I am going to become an associate member so I can play this one more. Really enjoyable round of golf and the best course I have played in Hampton Roads so far.
Great day in the rain
It was fun in the flooded course, and we made it just in time when the lightning started.
Best in VB...so far
This course had the best conditions of any I have played so far in VB was a good set up and range and everything was laid out really well. Staff were super friendly and the cart lady was very attentive as well
Honeybee
Got out around 6:30 on a Monday morning and had the course to myself. Greens were well kept, tee boxes were in good shape. Love the course layout at honey bee. Great value for the area. Excited to re-visit throughout summer.
Love it
Great layout, lot of water, not an easy one
Don’t miss to try!
Slow play
Arrives an hour early to get ready and practice to find out there were no carts. This delayed the start by over 15 minutes. For some reason they decided to allow a 5/6 person party to play as one which slowed play even more. This is the second time play was slow and it didn't seem the Marshall was doing anything except riding around in their cart
Pick up the pace.
Having tee times every 7 min is a bit much. It guarantees waiting between shots. I would pay extra to keep the pace steady.
Course needs work
Tee boxes are in rough shape. Sand traps are hard. No sand. Greens are in OK shape. People don't like to fix there divots.
Nice Golf Course.
Only bad thing was they were aerating the front nine so I had to play the back twice. Nice golf course for early March. I recommend and I will go back.
Great
Great course! Some greens could use some work though.
