Honey Bee Golf Club
About
Nestled in the heart of Virginia Beach, Honey Bee Golf Club is one of the area's most popular daily-fee golfing venues. Rees Jones designed the course, incorporating water on 10 holes as well as intricate bunkering throughout. The challenging layout has several tricky doglegs and some treacherous blind shots as well. It's a golf course that demands careful course management and some strategic thinking. Accurate shot placement is also key when maneuvering the rolling fairways and contoured greens. While it's by no means an easy golf course, it is an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, making it a popular venue for tournaments and corporate outings. For golfers looking to get an entire day of golf in, Honey Bee's sister club, Stumpy Lake, is only about half a mile away.

Great Course
We had a 6:07am tee time. Course was in great shape. Greens were in great shape. We had a foursome and played 18 in 3 hours and 11 minutes
Great course
Course was in great condition. Definitely going back.
Toughest easiest course around the 757
It was really fun but if you don’t have a gps or someone who plays here all the time with you then you can get into trouble pretty quickly. Some tough holes with water in play and quite a few dog leg lefts and rights. Greens were rolling pretty good. It’s a good $30-40 dollar course. I wouldn’t spend more than $40 to play it but it was cool to say I’ve played there.
The best
Best course that’s not a country club. Greens are pure, tee boxes are solid. You pay for what you get, and their hot deals are awesome
Fun short course
No complaints other than people please fix your divots on the green. Sort of a slow pace of play, but not the worst.
First time on course
For my first time I enjoyed it for the most part. The pace was way too slow however there was group after group stacked on to eachother. Also the greens were just recently aerated with punch holes filled with sand with no discount.
Great Course, but....
Our day at the course was good. For the time of year and the weather the course was in great condition! Our biggest issue was the pace of play, there consistently 2 or 3 groups, waiting at each tee box. Some groups abandoned play.. We discovered, on the back 9, the delay was caused by a foursome, that had morphed into an group of 6, and eventually a group of 8. It seemed like a birthday or bachelor party. I'm all about fun and was in no rush. But 5.5 hours to make it to the 17th tee box?? I wish the Marshall had dine a better job of monitoring the pace of play.
Secondly, when I made my reservation, I paid $6.00 via the app, and was to pay the final $90.00 at the course. Upon my arrival to the course I had to pay the full $96.00 plus tax. When I questioned it, the pro shop said "the app was wrong" and would not budge.
Fair course for the area
Course was ok. I would play again. Pretty busy for a Monday morning with walkers and riders. The front nine greens have some sand and patches.. The back nine greens were in better shape
Friend and I played from the golds. Very short course. The first hole has power lines running over the tee box and a few of the other tee boxes have the tee plaques on the tee box which are in the middle of shot lineups.
Nice but sand all over the greens
They must’ve recently sanded all the greens. If I had known that, I would not have gone. The course itself otherwise is in excellent shape. Unfortunately, we got behind some slow foursomes But that could happen anywhere.
