A super short challenging course
I enjoyed this course green were in good condition. beautiful scenery along the water. They should whack more foliage to get more views of the water and marina.
Excellent challenging course
Superior customer service by all staff members. Truely a great experience to match an equally fun challenging course to play.
Check-In
Check In was NO PROBLEM, I didn't have a print out, and didn't have to show the coupon from my iPhone.
They didn't have anyone going with beverages.
The rough s rough
HHS s a beautiful course with some great views f the Potomac river. The NLT thing I did not lik was that the rough was is so thick. If you hit your ball n the rough, even right up to the green , your ball disappears as the grass s abut 1/8 inch over the top of your ball.
On the Potomac
A fun course, from the back tees only 5700 yards. Only two opportunities to use a driver off the tee box. Makes you use all your clubs. Too many par three's for my liking .
Awesome and Challenging
No negative things to say about this course. Absolutely fantastic experience!
staff
Not the friendliest staff but for the money one of the nicest courses especially if you like part 3 because they have twice as many add the usual 18 hole courses.
Don't miss this one
Wow. Course is in fantastic shape. Better than many other more expensive courses in the area. A hidden gem in northern va. I'm a bomb and gouge guy but I really enjoyed this target golf. Don't let the yardage fool you. You won't overpower it. It's hard. And fun. Great views and elevation changes. Nice stuff in the golf shop too. Nice reasonable name brand apparel you don't see everywhere else. Nice clubhouse very casual fun feel. I will play here a lot.
Fun, Hit it Straight
Course was in great shape. Be straight or you are in for a long day. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I plan to go back
Beautiful course
Beautiful grounds keeping and located by the water. The place is beautiful. Challenging course. I'll play here again for sure.
Poor design
The course has some nice views along the river but is a ridiculous design with almost no room for error on most holes and crazy double doglegs and a horseshoe par-5.Combined with poor condition of tees, fairways and greens there's not much to recommend this track.
Good condition this early in the season
Course was in pretty good condition for early April. They aerated the greens earlier in the week so the greens were a bit bumpy. Finished in just over 4 hours on a saturday prime time.
Course has nice views
The course is not long, only 5500 yds from back tee, but relies on accurate tee shots. The greens were being treated but rolling decent. Nice course for all to play
Location location location
I enjoy the overall location of the course along the Occoquan River and the layout of the holes through wetland areas and along the river. Course was in decent condition despite all the recent snow. There are plenty of hazards and the layout is challenging and rewards those who can accurately place shots rather than just hitting the long drive.
Just ok..
This course is very short but it has a nice mix of holes with very reachable par 5s and everyone likes eagle chances. You can make the course play as easy or as hard as you want. You can get away with laying up on most tee shots but you're also definitely rewarded if you're driving the ball well. Bad shots are definitely punished. I can see how it would be a very fun course for some but I can also see how some would be dissuaded from playing the course.
Love the Ospreys
Fun course conveniently located just outside the Beltway. It's short, but challenging. I didn't use my driver the entire round. But almost every hole has a carry or a quirk to deal with that makes it fun. One of my go-to courses in the area. It also has some nice scenic holes.
challenging par3s, superb dogleg par4s and par5s
Enjoyed challenging courses a lot...the course was a collection of difficult par 3 holes and an apex of dogeg par4 or par5. I should stop my round at 10th because of the snow and the management offered raincheck without any haggling...
Fun course, interesting holes, some challenges.
Played late in the season, excellent pace on a cold day. Course was well maintained for so late in the season, good value for the money.
